Permitted purposes

Permitted purposes include in particular private property research (e.g. your own intention to rent or purchase), professional use by real-estate agents, investors, valuers and analysts, and anonymised market or location analysis.

Prohibited purposes

Any use is prohibited that

• assigns addresses, places of residence or movement patterns to natural persons against their will (doxxing, stalking, persecution within the meaning of § 238 of the German Criminal Code),
• serves the harassment, discrimination, extortion or unsolicited contacting of owners, tenants or residents,
• creates or populates blacklists, databases of rogue tenants, shadow credit databases or comparable profiling,
• commercially resells or licences the identified address or parcel data to third parties without the express written permission of lokilo.ai,
• retrieves, scrapes or reproduces raw search results in an automated mass-query fashion or by means of bots or scripts,
• circumvents technical protection measures of third parties (e.g. authentication or paywalls) or makes available means of circumvention,
• violates the applicable terms of service of any third-party websites you visit.

Function as a user-agent tool

The lokilo.ai browser extension processes only content that has already been loaded in your own browser. It does not make any requests to third-party websites itself and does not fetch data from them on its own. In its function it is comparable to reader-mode, translation, screen-reader or note-taking extensions.

User control

Processing only takes place upon your express click and only on the page you have currently opened. You alone decide which page is processed.

Responsibility for visited websites

By using the extension you affirm that you are authorised to view the third-party website concerned and that you comply with its terms of service. Reviewing any terms of service, robots.txt rules or other restrictions of the visited third-party website is solely your responsibility. lokilo.ai assumes no responsibility in this respect for any violations in the relationship between you and the operator of the third-party website concerned.

No automated or mass use

The extension may not be used in an automated manner, in loops or via script control. Simultaneous multi-use across several devices or accounts of the same user is permitted only within the scope of ordinary individual research.

No owner data

lokilo.ai does not display any owner data. The underlying official cadastral data (ALKIS in Germany and the corresponding registers in the other covered countries) contain no owner information. According to the prevailing legal view, the mere identification of an address from a public real-estate listing does not in itself constitute the processing of personal data, provided that no link to a name is established.

Responsibility for downstream processing

If you subsequently link an address identified via lokilo.ai with names, telephone-directory data, data from social networks or other sources, this may constitute the processing of personal data within the meaning of the GDPR. In that case you yourself are the controller within the meaning of Art. 4 No. 7 GDPR and require your own legal basis (e.g. contract performance, statutory obligation, express consent or legitimate interest under Art. 6(1)(b), (c), (a) or (f) GDPR).

Identification of owner names

Identification of owner names is not possible via lokilo.ai and is not offered. It is lawfully carried out only via the relevant official register (in Germany: Grundbuch at the competent local court) and requires the legally provided demonstration of a legitimate interest.

Suspension for violations

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts without prior notice if there is a reasonable suspicion of a serious breach of these terms of use, in particular in the case of suspected doxxing, stalking, harassment, automated mass use or commercial resale of data. In the event of proven misuse, no refund of prepaid amounts will be granted. Your statutory rights remain unaffected.

Abuse report

Suspected misuse can be reported at any time — including anonymously — to abuse@lokilo.ai. We review every report without delay and respond within 48 hours on business days.

Cooperation with authorities

Where there is initial suspicion of a criminal offence (in particular stalking under § 238 of the German Criminal Code), we cooperate with the competent law-enforcement authorities in accordance with the legal requirements and make the legally required audit data available.
